Meet the Founder
Antonia “Toni” Childs, fueled by culinary dreams and a passion for survivor advocacy, faced a turning point in her early twenties. Immersed in fighting domestic minor sex trafficking, she dedicated a decade to supporting survivors, balancing advocacy with her desserts catering business, Neets Sweets.
The pandemic disrupted Toni’s life, forcing her to pause advocacy, close her business, and rethink her journey. Amidst a weekend of chardonnay and “A Different World” binge-watching, she found inspiration in Hillman College’s theme of growth and self-discovery. Realizing her senior year in college had arrived, Toni envisioned transforming Johnson C. Smith University into her Hillman College.
